Year8 Dinner - Poem

Masala was fancy place to eat 

that was where the year 8's went to meet 

butter chicken was so divine 

My taste buds were fine

But my teacher wouldn't let me drink wine

 

We took so many pictures 

it was a mixture of students and teacher 

  

We had such a good time 

but everyone had to say goodbye

the birthday present

Once there lived a Boy named Sam it was his 11th birthday his dad gave him a big block of chocolate. then “RING RING RING!” went the phone Sam ran to the phone it was his best friend Mike he called him to say happy birthday.

Then outside there was a dog his name was Rocky Sam’s dog He  smelled the chocolate he ran inside the house found it on the table jumped on the table and ate it all up.

When Sam came back and was still on the phone then He stopped he dropped the phone and fell to His knees and cried “WHO ATE MY CHOCOLATE!’’he yelled and His Dad  came from outside  and found him crying.


that was when his Dad had something planned for him “Son it's ok we’ll get another block of chocolate and you what   guest where are we going” said Dad “where?” said Sam “where going to Rainbows end’’ Sam jumped up with excitement and wiped the tears from his eyes “REALLY!” Sam said “yes where going to Rainbows end” “YEAH THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!”.

retreat 2012

this is my interview for my day back

from the St francis retreat centre.

Hi everyone, I would like you to meet my Soul Friend for 2012.  Her name is Vaine. I am looking forward to work and play with her this year.  She is a year 4 student of Room5.

tennis experience

I was so pumped!. Room 7 was all excited for kiwi sport. We met Marcel ,our instructor. I saw a pile of rackets , and a box of balls. I was excited. We rushed to grab our equipment. I raced to to a net. It was a beautiful Tuesday morning.

We got into partners. My partner was petelo. We stood opposite sides of the net. We hit the ball back and forth back and forth. I found it hard. I just couldn't hit the ball straight .

It was time to play king of the court. We got into groups. I was one of the first to be king. I was excited. The game started. “Oh no” .... I’m out. I slowly walk back in line. The game was over. I wasn't one of the winners. I was very disappointed .

I sadly put my equipment back. We thanked Marcel. Back we went to the class. I didn’t do very well. Next week I'm going to try harder.
